Council has recently purchased thermal imaging cameras and Unley residents are welcome to borrow them.

These small cameras fit your mobile phone - there's one to suit i-Phones and another for Android devices - and they display thermal readings to help you understand where heat is concentrated, and where you might be losing it in winter, or getting too much of it in summer!

The cameras are beneficial because they show you areas of heat loss or unwanted heat gain in your living environment. This means they can give you a clearer picture of your household's or office's energy consumption and can help reduce your energy costs to assist with your budget.

They form part of our Sustainability Collection which you will find here on the website at unley.sa.gov.au/sustainability-collection

You can read more about their impact and how to use them.

Then it's a simple matter of booking one to suit your phone. While you can do that in person at our Library, the easiest way to reserve one for you to try at home is to book here at unley.sa.gov.au/thermal-booking.

Stay warmer in winter and cooler in summer, reduce your energy consumption and help the environment by reducing your emissions!
