The City of Unley is proud to announce the launch of its Community Renewables Program, an exciting initiative designed to help residents access affordable, reliable renewable energy while contributing to a sustainable and resilient future. This innovative bulk-buy program offers Unley homeowners the opportunity to install solar panels, batteries, and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) solutions to reduce energy bills and carbon emissions.

By participating in the Community Renewables Program, residents can join a growing local renewable energy network that powers the community sustainably and creates long-term financial and environmental benefits. Whether you’re looking to cut down on energy costs or take a stand for sustainability, this program offers a clear path forward.

The City of Unley has partnered with ShineHub, a leading installer of solar battery solutions in South Australia, to deliver this program. ShineHub has a proven track record of running successful solar and battery bulk-buy programs for several councils, including Mitcham, Charles Sturt, Campbelltown, and Marion.
