The times of closures and changes to our operating hours over the 2024-25 holiday period at all Council sites are listed here.
For urgent Council enquiries outside of the specified opening times, please call our after-hours service on 8372 5111.
Unley Civic Centre and Depot
Closes at 3pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024, reopens at 8.30am on Thursday 2 January 2025.
Unley Library
Closes at 3pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and will reopen at 10 am Friday 27 December 2024.
Please note: Early closures on Friday 27 December (5pm) and Monday 30 December (5pm).
Unley Toy Library
Closes at 3pm on Saturday 21 December 2024 and reopens 10am Thursday 2 January 2025.
Goodwood Library
Closes at 5pm Monday 23 December 2024 and reopens 10am Thursday 2 January 2025. (Goodwood Library customers are welcome to borrow and return items and use computer facilities at the Unley Library.)
Goodwood Toy Library
Closes at 12noon Saturday 21 December 2024 and reopens 10am Thursday 2 January 2025.
Fullarton Park Readers’ Lounge
Closes on Tuesday 10 December 2024 and will reopen Tuesday 4 February 2025.
Goodwood Community Centre
Closes at 2pm Friday 20 December and will reopen Monday 6 January 2025.
Fullarton Park Community Centre
Closes at 5pm Friday 20 December 2024 and will reopen Wednesday 15 January 2025.
Clarence Park Community Centre
Closed from 12noon Friday 20 December 2024 and will reopen Monday 13 January 2025.
Unley Community Centre
Closes at 4.30pm Friday 20 December 2024 and will reopen Monday 6 January 2025.
Unley Community Centre Meal Service
The last meal service will be Tuesday 17 December 2024. The service will resume Monday 13 January 2025. Bookings essential, please phone 8372 5128.
Unley Museum
Closes at 6pm Thursday 19 December 2024 and will reopen 10am Monday 6 January 2025.
Unley Swimming Centre
Early closure on Tuesday 24 December 2024 (6pm) - Reopen on Thursday 26 December 2024 (10am).
Early closure on Tuesday 31 December 2024 (6pm) - Reopen on Wednesday 2 January 2025 (10am)
Community Bus & Car Transport services
The Community Bus will do its last run for the year on Tuesday 24 December 2024; service will recommence on Monday 6 January 2025.
The Community Car transport last service will be on Monday 23 December 2024 and will recommence on Monday 13 January 2025.
Changes to bin collections
Due to the Christmas Day public holiday, there will be no bin collections on Wednesday 25 December. All collections will move to the next day for the remaining week:
- Wednesday 25 December: Christmas Day – Collections occur on Thursday 26 December.
- Thursday 26 December: Proclamation Day and Boxing Day – Collection will occur on Friday 27 December.
- Friday 27 December – Collections will occur Saturday 28 December.
Due to the New Year’s Day public holiday, there will be no bin collections on Wednesday 1 January. All collections will move to the next day for the remaining week:
- Wednesday 1 January – New Year’s Day. Collections will occur on Thursday 2 January.
- Thursday 2 January – Collections will occur on Friday 3 January.
- Friday 3 January – Collections will occur on Saturday 4 January.
