Our Buddies help Westcare in Easter appeal

Coordinator Brett Partington, who has been facilitating the Buddies breakfast program since its inception six years ago, has a passion for helping less fortunate members of our community.
So, when the group was approached by Westcare seeking support with their Easter appeal, it was an appeal for essential non-perishable food items, such as long-life milk, cereal and canned goods.
Members of the Buddies responded generously, purchasing groceries to bring to the donation tables at their breakfasts. It’s a small gesture which is starting to have an impact.
Brett visited Westcare and was deeply moved by the work they do supporting Adelaide’s most vulnerable – families in crisis, indigenous communities, and people experiencing homelessness or addiction.
Another Buddy, Bob Byrne, contacted Drakes’ supermarkets Wayville manager Michael, who kindly agreed to support this initiative, and the first round of goods collected raised a donation worth around $1000.
Our Buddies and Belles at Breakfast, with Drakes, have committed to continuing to support Westcare and by contributing vital supplies to help those in need.
