Juvenilia feedback competition

At Unley Libraries we have been celebrating Australian authors and illustrators this through the build up and launch of the incredible Juvenilia exhibition. If you have been inspired by one of the talented creatives involved in the exhibition we would love to hear from you! What would you like to ask or tell an author or illustrator involved in Juvenilia?

We are running a Juvenilia feedback competition from the 6 July - 9 August . Six great questions will receive a $15.00 Dymocks voucher.

To enter you will need:

  • To be between the ages of 5 and 18 years and have parent/guardian permission to enter
  • To read a book written or illustrated by an Australian author or illustrator included in the Juvenilia exhibition or creatives showcase
  • To write a message or a question for an author or illustrator involved in Juvenilia, either the Juvenilia exhibition or the creatives showcase

Terms & Conditions

  • The Juvenilia Feedback Competition is being run by the City of Unley, 181 Unley Road, Unley.
  • The competition opens Friday 5 July 2024 and closes Friday 9 August 2024. The work must be submitted online at unley.sa.gov.au by 5pm Friday 9 August 2024.
  • Two Winners will be selected from each age category by library staff (5-7 years, 8-12 years, 13-18 years)
  • Entrants may enter multiple times with questions for different authors and or illustrators
  • Entrants must gain permission from a parent/guardian for each entry
  • No responsibility will be accepted for late, misdirected entries or entries sent but not received by The City of Unley. 
  • Entrants must be aged 5-18 years, and have a Libraries SA membership.
  • City of Unley staff and family are ineligible to enter. 
  • Non-residents of SA are ineligible to apply. 
  • The entry must be original, and the work of the entrant. 
  • By entering the competition you give permission for City of Unley to publish quotes from your entry, including for promotion, in print or on the web, or social media.
  • The winner will be announced Friday 16 August via Unley Libraries website and social media, and contacted personally via email or phone.
  • If the winner does not claim their prize by Sunday 1 September, the prize is forfeited without compensation, and will be awarded to another entry from their age category.
