We have a craft to compliment these books.

Parrot craft

For this craft you will need:

  • 1 x copy of the template, printed on card - template to download and print(PDF, 954KB) If you would like different elements in different colours, print more than one copy of the template on different coloured card or paper.
  • Pipecleaners/chenille stems
  • Crepe paper and card to decorate
  • Coloured feathers
  • Textas, scissors, hole punch, sticky tape, a gluestick and maybe a stapler.

 

Directions:

  • Cut out the elements of the template.
  • The bottom half of the template will be rolled into a tube and glued or stapled.
  • Wrap the long, thin piece of card with the eyes on it around to top of the cardboard tube.
  • Stick on the wings and the beak.
  • Add a tail of either card or crepe paper. make it as long and as feathery as you like.
  • Stick the feather to the inside of the tube at the top so it sticks out like a crest.
  • Punch two holes 
  • Enjoy!
