Time Slip story & song writing competition for young people
December 2021
2021 marked the 150th year of the City of Unley. We challenged local young people to reflect on the way life had changed during this time, by creating a short story or song.
The judges were blown away by the creativity and writing skills submitted in this competition and would like to commend every young person who entered. We hope you enjoy the winners’ pieces as much as we did and are transported to another time in the evolution of the City of Unley. With young minds as bright as these authors & artists, we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Story writing applications were judged by authors, Carla Caruso, Ruth Starke; and Unley Libraries staff members
Song writing applications were judged Millicent Sarre, singer, songwriter and musical theatre performer; Jen Frith, City of Unley Team Leader Community Centres, National Song-writing Competition Finalist; and Unley Libraries staff members
