The playspace upgrade of Fern Avenue Reserve was part of Council's asset renewal program. The new play setting encourages more imaginative play, sensory experiences, interaction with nature and problem solving.
The upgrade included a new basket swing, slide and climbing structure for tactile, body position and balance. Introduction of nature play elements and dry creek bed to encourage sensory experiences. Creating better connections with a new pathway and a community weaving wall that evolves overtime. The greencover was increased by 41sqm, including 1 tree and 85 plants.
