As a returning Councillor, I am honoured by the opportunity to serve our community for another term. I have lived in the City of Unley for most of the past 40 years and, with my son, I have loved participating in Unley life. I am a past Chair of the Unley Bicycle Users Group and have been a strong local advocate for better planning outcomes. I previously served on the Unley Development Assessment Panel and, more recently, on the Council Assessment Panel.
I have worked as an academic for almost 30 years teaching courses in Planning, Urban Futures and Sustainable Cities at the University of South Australia and University of Adelaide. I am currently an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the University of South Australia where I continue to design and manage research projects on sustainable transport.
I understand the significant challenges our City faces with Climate Change. I will work with colleagues, residents and businesses to ensure Unley is a leader in addressing Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation. I am committed to advocating on behalf of Parkside Ward and making decisions in the interests of our entire Community. In this term of Council, I remain committed to improving the amenity and liveability of our neighbourhoods and fostering social inclusion, environmental sustainability and financial responsibility.
