Apply for a Business Parking Permit

Businesses registered in the City of Unley are eligible for up to two Business Parking Permits to allow their employee vehicles to overstay the signed time-limit (2 hours or greater).

Applications are now open, however, permits will be issued from 1 April 2025.

To be eligible for a Business Parking Permit, you must have a business registered and operating within the City of Unley.

How to apply

To apply for a Business Parking Permit, you must provide proof that you have a business registered and operating within the City of Unley.

The Application must be submitted by the business owner/manager, or an employee authorised by the business to act on their behalf.

Where can this permit be used?

Business Parking Permits can be used on any City of Unley street with a time-limit of 2 hours or greater, except for the following exclusion zones:

Exclusion Zones:

  • Business Parking Permits do not exempt holders from the following on-street parking controls:

- Parking zones less than 2 hours in duration
- Resident Only Permit Zones
- Mobility Access Permit Zones
- Loading Zones
- No Parking Zones and No Stopping Zones
- Bicycle Lanes
- Clear Ways.

  • Business Parking Permits do not exempt holders from time-limit parking controls in:

- council owned and operated off-street public carparks
- King William Road retail and commercial precinct between Greenhill Road and Northgate Street.

  • Council owned and operated Paid Parking Areas.
  • Major collector roads owned and operated by the City of Unley, including:

- East Avenue
- Leah Street
- Leader Street
- Duthy Street
- George Street.

  • Arterial Roads owned and operated by the State Government, including:

- Greenhill Road
- Glen Osmond Road
- Cross Road
- Anzac Highway
- South Road
- Goodwood Road
- Unley Road
- Fullarton Road.

  • Private parking areas for public use (e.g. shopping centre car parks).

If your permit/s are approved, an invoice will be issued to you for payment. Permits will be issued from 1 April 2025 via mail upon receipt of payment.
